WTF? Everyone’s excited for Kill Hannah? No love for Lacuna Coil? They are infinitely better than any of the bands playing tonight.

Lacuna Coil rocks my shit. Cristina is the hottest metal female singer right now. And Andrea and everyone else are great guys.

Wow.
LC soooooo owned it and on many levels.
We were about 20th in line, entering when the doors opened at about 7:15 or so.
A mediocre sized (yet pretty enthusiastic) crowd settled in by 8PM.
The first band, Dommin was probably the nicest surprise of the three warmup bands.
The second band, Seventh Void was soso but the axe man never really stepped out of the box in his scales. The excessive bass was just too much for many people.
Finally Kill Hannah (imho, which is an over-rated NIN redo band with some new faces) took the stage. Their kick drum sounded like dogshit. The axe man was buried in efx and never played much of anything mentionable. He was orchestrated well into the gig but never really stood out during the leads. The guitar lasers were neat but the white lights on the axes gotta GO. I will not go on and on and on about these guys. Let’s just say it was a let down for my first time seeing or hearing their music.
The sound was pretty horrid overall (for all of the warmups) with heavy bass and the stage lights went totally out for every warm up band.

LC came out and just power porked it playing for only one hour. :(
I had to shake their soundmans’ hand since he filled that barn of a room with sound really well.
I was up on the top of the stairs to the section/bar which (sadly) were not open for use for the event.
Tickets: Courtesy of Jason at 96 The Buzz and local Guardian Angel Chapter Leader Chris Gabbert.
